#1

Robust, dynamic, brawny, and strapping - all perfectly describe this “king-sized” Brunnera specimen. Large, heavily silvered, heart-shaped leaves can reach 12” x 10”. Artfully designed veining with some green margins provide character all season. A mist of sky-blue flowers hover in sprays above the wide clump. May self-seed, but seedlings with plain green leaves can easily be weeded out. Slightly moist, well-drained soil is best. Absolutely stunning! No perennial garden should be without Brunnera.

  • Bloom Time: Mid-spring to early summer
  • Light Requirements: Full Shade to Part Shade (3 to 6 Hours)
  • Soil Requirements: Needs consistently moist soil, but never waterlogged. Adaptable to normal, loamy, sandy, or clay soils. Tolerates acidic, neutral, or alkaline conditions.
