Bloomsdale is a popular, heirloom variety of spinach known for its deeply crinkled (savoyed) dark green leaves, sweet flavor, and excellent cold and heat tolerance, making it slow to bolt. This "Long Standing" variety can be harvested for tender baby greens in as little as 28 days or as mature spinach in about 45-50 days. To grow it, sow seeds directly into fertile, moist soil in early spring or fall, with full sun or partial shade.
