An absolute beauty of a small tree. Large, white camellia-like flowers in July. Foliage is lustrous dark green during the summer and reddish-purple or scarlet in autumn. Truly outstanding bark exfoliates in multiple colors of cream, brown, and tan but stays tight and sinewy like musclewood.
