Topcrop is an early maturing bush bean that has remained a dependable choice for growers since its USDA release in 1950. Plants grow 18 to 24 inches tall with a strong, upright habit and produce high yields of straight, stringless pods that are bright, meaty, and fiber-free. The concentrated set allows for efficient harvests, making it well suited for fresh use, freezing, or canning. Pods are brown seeded with buff mottling and hold quality through various growing conditions. A 1950 All-America Selections winner, Topcrop continues to perform reliably in both home and commercial settings.
