• Soil Requirements: Well-drained, rich, fertile soil; average to evenly moist conditions; does not tolerate standing water or waterlogged soil; not particular as to pH but grows best in rich soils; soil temperature should be at least 70-90°F for optimal growth (60°F minimum for transplanting)
