Stromanthe ‘Triostar’

Say hello to this dazzling member of the prayer plant family–Socialite ‘Trio Star’–her glamorous, variegated leaves adorned in a trio of colors! Although ‘Trio Star’ looks similar to a Calathea, and thrives in the same bright, indirect light & high humidity as a Calathea, ‘Trio Star’ is actually a Stromanthe. For best performance, put her in a spotlight, or maybe just the brightest, indirect light you have, and let her show off her elongated, dramatically-variegated leaves of white, green, and pink. At night, or when the curtain falls, ‘Trio Star’ will fold up her leaves, displaying their reddish-purple undersides. 

• Light Requirements: Bright, Indirect
• Water Requirements: Keep soil consistently moist, not soggy. Allow the top inch to dry slightly between watering. Reduce watering in winter. Use filtered water if tap is hard.
• Soil Requirements: Use a rich, well-draining potting mix with organic matter to prevent overly soggy conditions.
