"Dark Italian parsley" refers to the flat-leaf variety of parsley, scientifically known as Petroselinum crispum var. neapolitanum. It is characterized by its dark green, deeply cut leaves, sturdy stems, and a more intense, rich flavor compared to curly parsley. This versatile herb is excellent for fresh use in salads, garnishes, and as a flavor enhancer in a wide range of cooked dishes, as well as for drying.  

  • Bloom Time: spring/summer of it's second year. Harvest anytime after establishment, continuously throughout the season.
  • Light Requirements: Full Sun to Part Sun (6 to 6+ Hours)
  • Soil Requirements: Well-draining, consistently moist, fertile soil is key.
