Here’s an enchanting philodendron that will put a spell on you with its botanical magic–Prismacolor ‘White Wizard’. This highly sought-after philodendron casts spells of wonder as it unfurls spade-shaped leaves, marbled and splashed with crisp white variegation. It’s not sorcery, but it is a ‘White Wizard’! With a moss pole or other structure as its staff, this climbing philodendron will weave its spellbinding charm upwards, sending out aerial roots, and growing larger, even more resplendent leaves over time.
Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid letting the plant sit in soggy soil.
Soil: Well-draining, airy potting mix with peat, perlite, and orchid bark works best.
Fertilizer: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer at half strength. Reduce feeding in fall/winter.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity (50%+). Using a humidifier or misting leaves occasionally will help maintain vibrant white variegation.
Pruning: Remove leggy or damaged stems to encourage fuller growth. Trim yellowing leaves.
Propagation: Easily propagated via stem cuttings with visible nodes; roots quickly in soil or water.
