Athyrium ‘Ghost’ #1

This vigorous and easy-to-grow, deer-resistant hybrid between Japanese painted fern (Athyrium niponicum 'Pictum') and Southern lady fern (Athyrium filix-femina) combines the best features of both parents. The result is a rigidly upright fern to 2-3' tall with the silvery grey foliage of Athyrium niponicum.

• Soil Requirements: Loves rich, moist, well-drained soil. More drought-tolerant than many ferns once established. Prefers slightly acid to neutral pH.
