Helianthus Angustifolius ‘Swamp Sunflower’ #2

Helianthus angustifolius, or the swamp sunflower, is an upright, herbaceous perennial that grows 5-8 feet tall, producing 2-3 inch yellow daisy-like flowers from late summer into fall. This plant thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers wet to moist, acidic, sandy soils, but can tolerate periods of drought. It is an excellent choice for boggy areas, rain gardens, and pollinator gardens, attracting birds and a variety of insects, including native bees and migrating monarchs.
