Cilantro

Cilantro is the leafy green herb from the Coriandrum sativum plant, also known as fresh coriander. It is popular in Latin, Indian, and Asian cuisines and adds a citrusy, grassy flavor to dishes like salsa, guacamole, curries, and salads. Some people have a genetic sensitivity that makes the herb taste like soap. The seeds of the same plant are dried and used as the spice coriander, which is different from the fresh leaves.
