You can enjoy flavorful, tender, sweet corn sooner than ever before! With superior cool soil emergence, 'Buttergold' performs well in northern climates, but also does well anywhere that other corn varieties are grown. The large, 7"–8" ears have 12–14 rows of juicy, yellow kernels. Excellent for freezing.

  • Season of Interest: Harvest about 18 to 24 days after the silks appear, which usually occurs around 63 days after planting. Look for the silks to turn brown and the ears to feel plump for optimal sweetness.
  • Light Requirements: Full Sun to Part Sun (6 to 6+ Hours)
  • Soil Requirements: Well-drained, fertile soil; pH 6.0-6.8 (neutral to slightly acidic); rich, humus-rich soil with good moisture retention but excellent drainage
